Part 4

Their wedding was celebrated on a spring day. Flowers were everywhere in the church. The few people that were invited waited for the ceremony to start in the church yard, all excited and the conversations kept running about Adam’s wife to be, the woman nobody ever saw until now. The tabloids were all berserk, trying to get a grasp of who she was.

Throughout the two months that separated the wedding day and the day she had called him to accept his proposal, he made sure to protect her from the media coverage she would be a victim of once the news of their coming engagement would be out. Certain days, she felt like a celebrity. And he kept telling her that she was one indeed and that if anytime they let down the protection of their privacy, she would be surprised to see the number of photos of herself published in the tabloids.

Although he had specified that he wanted to get married as soon as possible, Adam agreed to wait for her to pass her final examinations. She, on the other side, disagreed to move to his mansion and preferred to stay with Mia in the time pending for their wedding. She however, quite reluctantly, agreed to see a gynecologist in view of a fertility check up. She felt that maybe if she could not conceive, then she would be redundant to him.
