Part 3

Part 2

So anyway, I'm standin' there like an idiot; and my mind automatically goes back to a few years ago when Janie and I first met.--

I tend to get distracted a lot.--Anyway, I know what you're thinkin.'-- I walked into Jake's one day and there she was,

so I kept goin' to Jake's everyday just to see her; and we got to know each other and after awhile it-was-love-at-first-sight.--It was nothin' like that.

When I first met her, the first time I ever saw her, she was sittin' on a bench in the park feedin' the squirrels.

Like I said before, she's a real beautiful girl; it took me a little time to work up the courage just to sit down next to her;

then another good ten, fifteen minutes or so to get the courage to talk to her, then I had to rack-my marbles tryin' to find somethin' to say to her; somethin' that didn't make me look too stupid; all the while, hopin' that she didn't get up and leave, before I did.
