Part 5

She was having a hard time playing the tough girl. The handsome hank in front of her, with the stubble on his face and dream body, made her want to turn and run. Into his arms or away from him. But NOT continue to stand there. His eyes flicked over her like he was actually touching her. Manvi disguised a delicious shudder, pretending to swat at a fly.

“Where are you from?” he asked cooly.

“I’m from Akola” said Manvi but before she could continue, Rajat gave a shout of laughter.

”Coca Cola?” he cried ”She’s from Coca Cola!”

Manvi bit her lip to keep from saying something rude. Tej watched her, noting the rush of angry colour that suffused her face.

She was breathing rapidly now; oh, he thought in satisfaction, the cool young lady has a temper!

Tej drawled, “We’ll meet you in the canteen at 4 pm sharp.” and added in an undertone,” You need to be taught some manners.”

And he strolled off, deliberately brushing past her roughly as he left, causing her to stumble backwards, his group of friends following him.

He could hear the agitated chatter of the girls behind him as he walked. Could feel her angry eyes boring into his back.

Good, he thought, they should be worried.
