Part 4

When Ben arrived he was with a woman whom he introduced them and told Audrey so you're the person who old drunken Sam saw and is telling the whole town. Audrey apologized and said with that mountain lion out there I couldn't leave him or her out there. The veterinarian told Audrey it was a boy and he's healthy just hungry. She had powdered milk and a bottle to feed him. She told Audrey that he would need feeding every so many hours and would drink the whole bottle then she asked her what she was going to name him. Audrey looked at him and said Buster. The veterinarian name Susan said that was a great name. When Ben came back he told Audrey he had seen the tracks and yes it was a mountain lion andprobably had babies that she was feeding. Then he asked what's his name. She said Buster. The next day he boarded up the entrance into the mine to keep her and the pony safer. he also brought straw for the pony to lay on. he had to admit that he was a good looking mostly white with brownisn red spots and when he got older he would really be a good looking horse.

Day by day she took care of him and some times she would get a bucket of soap and water and give him a bath.. She tried to put a saddle on him and he didn't like it .Susan said he was still to young so Audrey used one saddlebag at a time and then he was able to have one of those little horse saddle on him. She would walk him in a circle to where he was following Audrey a little bit.
