Part 1

“C’mon, I know you’re in here. Show yourself,” Mac whispered.

One of the bins moved a little, but his training told him to stay put until he was sure it was Cole. About halfway down the alley, across from where he was, a man slowly made his way towards the far end of the alley. Mac reached into the trash bin he was hiding behind and found an unopened can of beans. He took it in his hand, and using his skill gained in college football, threw it at the man, hitting him squarely on the back of his head and then rolled to the other end of the alley. The man slumped to the ground.

“Hah! Gottcha,” he shouted, while shooting his hands in the air. “College tuition pays off again.”
