Part 1

For a good two weeks while on patrol they didn't get dispatched to a scene unless a unit needed back up in the area they were patroling then they were allowed to go and help out. One day Joesph asked David do you think they are trying to run us off? David replied yes but that isn't going to happen to this boy. I'm here to stay, Joesph agreed whole heartly with him Names and jokes was easing up some. They thought that was maybe a good sign or a sign that fellow officers had maybe given up on trying to chase them off

One day while on patrol a call came into the dispatcher from a fellow officer in the same area a shooter on the roof of the Mead Hotel had them and three other patrol cars pinned down and was shooting at them. The dispatcher ordered all cars to remain radio silence. Joesph knew the area well. His sister worked at the laundry/ dry cleaning business just a few doors down. They changed into street clothes that she had provided and walked down the side alley to the hotel.side door then up to the other side of the roof. Joesph hid his police radio on the roof then they walked around. The jeans and shirt from the cleaners and a cowboy hat that one of the hotel's guest let Joesph borrow. He looked and acted like a country hick. Hey buddy whatwha doing.
