Smart, Sweet, Sexy
With shaking hands and nervous tummy, Carolyn turned the sign on the door to ‘Open’, set the little sandwich board with the hours 11-2 on it out on the sidewalk, and went back in to wait. Smoothing her short black hair back with her hands, she checked her blue apron to make sure there were no spots on it. At five-feet six, she was still a little bit underweight for her height, but now that she was happier, with a purpose in life, she hoped to gain back some of the pounds she had lost during her depression.
The sign over the door, created by her friend Susan, said The Triple S Lunch Box, and she was finally open for business. It had been a long process getting prepared for this day, but she felt ready, nervous and optimistic. Susan liked to say it stood for Smart, Sweet and Sexy.
