Driven to succeed at whatever she happened to be focusing on, Kelly had won a scholarship to university where she obtained the necessary courses and a degree in order to become a teacher. For five years she taught English Literature and Grammar at the Junior High level, saved every penny and attempted to write a novel in her spare time.
