It didn’t; instead, he burst out laughing. That infuriated her more, “what’s so funny?” she seethed. “You!” he said, “you’re trying really hard to be rebellious!”

She scowled, “I am rebellious”.

“But last night you looked like a cat out of water” he teased.

She ignored his goading, “Sam never bothered about the security cameras, so I hope you don’t too”

“I take my job seriously, and I don’t want anyone to tell me how to do my job”

“And I don’t want anyone to push me around” she said with equal defiance.

“Don’t challenge my skills young lady!” he snapped. She walked closer to him, her nostrils flared. Anger suited her, he thought; color rose to her pale face, “I am talking to my father about this arrangement” she crooked a finger at him, “I’ll make sure you’ll be sent back where you came from”.
