“I wont..dont worry” he found himself saying in a tone he didn’t recognize as his own.

“Thanks Dev! I appreciate it” she gave a genuine smile, and walked out of the room, leaving him dazed.

He stood there, staring at the door. Never in his wildest dreams had he thought that the daughter of the powerful and richest man would be like this; she was everything her father wasn’t. No wonder her staffs were protecting her; she loved them like her family.

He scratched his head in irritation, this complicated things. It would have been easier if she was a rude, arrogant, selfish spoiled brat, but she wasn’t. And this made him slightly guilty since he was here on a mission.
