Part 2

‚Äč Emilly arrived home as the first storm hit. She helped to get her horse and the other livestock secured in the cave that they had turned into a storm shelter and then they took shelter in the basement of the house. Her mother was sick and had to be carried out the door and around the back to a bigger door and into the basement where there was a hospital bed waiting for her. Emilly made her as comfortable as possible. Taking her out that way wasn't good for her health but to save her life that was the only way. She had been diagnosed with a type of lung cancer and was doing well with the treatment that she was being given but the atmosphere had a lot of ash that had been released by the forest fire. Emilly saw some of the ashes that looked like it came from a volcanic erumption
