She knew the boy had a mighty job on his shoulder being ten taking care of three sisters all six and under. In the evenings while picking apples and nuts she would fix them dinner and take to the cave for them She promised them that they would be safe on the farm if they didn't venture too far from the cave and some nights she stayed with them. Her family knew what danger they were in but knew God wanted them to protect the children. They didn't let their house guest know because to save their family anyone would turn in a neighbor.

Emilly registered not in the next town over but the big city and had phony birth certificates made and made it look like she was the children's mother and got a nice little house and had to figure a way of smuggling the children out. They decided to use the farm truck and Emilly would follow. They left early in the morning with two of their beef cows and some bales of straw for the marketplace to sell.
