Desirai's first post was to let readers that she was gathering up evidence that was relevant to her investigative story. She recieved so many tips with other victims that she wasn't even aware of so she made another trip to the local library She went to the library's film strip room and looked up the death of John Ashland. She found out that his death was listed as natural causes citing a heart attack but the police that answered the call said they saw a barbell on his throat and said it must have been an accident. She sat back and wondered how the‚Äčauthorities could list two different causes of death.

He had been involved in a couple bad land deals involving the Williams.The source of the story also stated that Mr. Ashland and a friend Mr. Benjamin Grandy was going to the authorities with evidence that Mr. Williams drug dealings with a well known drug dealer. A few hours after Mr Ashland's body was found at his home the authorities was called to the Benjamin Grandy's residence of a possible overdose of some kind. They found .a empty bottle of mouthwash and a receipt that he had just bought the mouthwash. One of the policemen made the comment that it looked like a water boarding incident that he witnessed when he served overseas.
