Part 3

April 8th 1985, it was dark, mild, and cloudy. An owl like creature was making strange noises up above, as he sat in a tree eyeing a window down below. Arthur got up and looked at the bird. He closed the blind in his study trying to block out the sounds he hear. Quickly Arthur sat back down, however. There was a knock at the study door it was his wife Alice, “are you sure dear, you don’t want a cup of warm milk?” He said, Yes, I’ll take it;” And Off to the kitchen she went.

Alice started humming a tune; a tune Arthur knew meant his wife was in distress and he could not understand why? They had a lovely day. She could be heard moving pots and pan and suddenly within minutes, a knock on the door disturbed Arthur’s concentration. It couldn’t be Alice, he thought, it was too soon for her to bring back the warm milk. “Come in, he said.
