Part 8

Ritu sat on her bed, the development Economics book lying open in her lap, trying to read Harrod-Domar model. But she was not succeeding. Her eyes were reading the black printed letters in the book but her mind was not grasping the meaning behind them. She was on the same page since last one hour. But strangely, she was reading something else without physical support of her eyes. The paper. She was reading it in her mind without even looking at it. And she was reading it again and again. How strange? Never in her life, she had faced such thing before. What was happening to her?

If you feel an even faintest spark of love in your heart for me then please come to your kitchen window at 2 a.m. tonight. I will wait for you, last lines of the paper flashed in her mind, raising her heartbeat, making her tense. These lines were stuck in her thoughts, repeating again and again. She was trying to push them away but they just held their ground in her mind.
