Part 7

Coming to his room, Manik sat down on the cot. He was very tired. Being LIC agent was not an easy thing. You have to chase the clients endlessly. And even then, you may not get anything at the end of the day. It was very frustrating. He was doing this job since last three months and still, he had a very little client base. Just five clients. This was not enough. His income was not increasing. But his expenses were intact: the bike expenses, the food expenses, and the rent. His savings were almost over. He had come from the village with 80000 rupees. Now after giving 3000 to Kajal, he had just 500 in his pocket. How would he survive like this in the city?
