There was so many people waiting for the ferries and the island's police showed the residents where to park their cars that they had only a short time to get people and their pets to the mainland so for as many as they could carry no vehicles.Their pets needed to be caged or on a leash

‚Äč The first trip for all three ferries was a breeze. The Islanders was very civil and wasn't sure where they would go so Amber called her grandmother and told her to open the underground garage area only to the crowds coming.

She also called the news station and see if they could get the Red Cross or some other orginaization to set up bedding and other supplies in both of the underground garages. When they arrived the news had a reporter there and both Red Cross and Salvation Army was sitting up and the Red Cross volunteers was ready to lead the islanders to the shelter.
