‚Äč The city park was close to downtown police station, business district and the community college that it was also a favorite place to get a quick lunch or just either a cold drink or a cup of hot coffee.It was open at least nine months of the year when the beach was only opened during the summer Both of the stands had their pros and cons but if you listened to Chester and Melody it was a toss up but what happened one summer had Mr. Underwood's daughter in law Melody really unraveled one older man who had been seen hanging out on the bench almost every day looking at the stand and the children that when one day when Blair forgot to ask her mother if she could go to the bathroom and the man in his sixties also left the bench she had the police right there and they arrested the man saying he was stalking her. The older man's lawyer explained to the police that he was just watching out for everyone and assured them that he wasn't a child molester that he was a private detective working for a grandparent of one of the children that played in the park on a daily basis and sometimes without her babysitter.
