Part 4

The Sugar Maple with sap running down it's bark. One couple got permission from the city to take the sap from the trees to make their homemade syrup which was Blair's mother's and her's favorite syrup to put on pancakes. There was a variety of all kinds of Oak trees that run on both sides of a small creek right up to a concrete bridge that crossed over it. Then there were the Sweetgum trees that was positioned on the side and behind the cotton candy stand with it's yellow leaves and a gum smell that could be smelt if the wind was right,

The pine trees in the fall had cones that children would pick and take home and filled either glass or clear plastic bowl and diplayed them on their coffee tables. One of the pine cones had a pine scent to them. That was the family's favorite smell besides pumpkin pies and homemade bread being baked.
