Part 1

Julie was pulling into her parking space as her landlord was taping a letter on her door. They greeted each other. Julie carried her shopping bags into the kitchen's cabinet. She unloaded the groceries. After putting everything that needed to go into the refrigerator she sat down to read her letter. She was expecting to read a no thank you letter again. This letter stated she had been hired for a counsellor's job. She had told her mother when she went to visit her that she wasn't on the summer school list of workers.

She was due to meet their staff bus at the school on the last day of school..She called her mother to tell her the good news. her mother was already proud of Julie but that was like icing on a cake. She was very proud of her baby girl. They talked for a few minutes then told each other I love you and hung the phone. Julie decided that she needed to go through her closet and pick out some slacks and tops.
