Part 10

ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIP WITH VIDHYAKIRAN

After pacifying Shyamala, Baskar pondered over how to deal with Ramanathan family. He moved freely with Ramanathan who was in the company of our Astrologer. He opened conversation with Ramanathan who was surprised to see Baskar giving him company. “Come here, Baskar. Take the seat.” He offered a seat to him. Baskar took a seat in front of im and started conversing with him: “My father had already predicted that Santha could not be the cognate (One related by blood or origin; especially on sharing an ancestor with another) with the deceased foster parents. But none believed his prediction including myself. But on seeing Vidhya Kiran at the Intercollegiate Competition, I was stuck with wonder as she was a spitting image of Santha. After a period of eighteen years, Santha joined your family. Time governs our life-activities. “

“Santha, hearing his words, asked our Astrologer, “Uncle, why am I destined to be separated from my consanguineal parents though I was born with my sister having the same time, same birth star and in the same place? While my sister got the best form of education, I am destined to study in government school, that too in ninth standard tamil Medium? Like all government schools, I was among the wretched environment, indecent, unruly and manner less students. Hadn’t I been changeling, I would have also become a doctor like my sister. I am an unlucky chap in the eyes of God.” She wept bitterly.
