Cameras brust brightly around us, as Darryl's sleek black Mercedes pulled up in front the building, the valet opening the doors for us.

"I hate the attention." he mumbled, more to himself.

There was a great deal of people with deep pockets, a lot of expensive cars heading this way. The parking attendants will be busy tonight.

I didn't expect so many people to be here, drawing into myself at the attention I was receiving alongside Darryl.

"I hope I don't embarrass you."

A frown knitted between his eyebrows, but he remained mute.

The moment we got into the building, someone called his name, but he scarcely notices.

"I am not letting you out of my sight." wrapping a protective arm around my waistline.
