‚Äč When her father died Kathy's mother took her to Texas to a ranch that kathy thought was her grandparents on her mother's side but later found out that her mother had been seeing this man while she was married to Harry Johansburg and was going to leave him when he became ill and then decided to stay with him only for his life insurance policy. it was a very short illness that took his life and this man was his personal doctor. Her grandfather Dr. Albert Johansburg was never allowed to see his son while he was sick and somehow what her mother describe as a little life insurance policy turned out to be three policies for over a million a piece. Pretty good chuck of gold to Kathy. Then they shipped her off to a boarding school and took as many luxary cruises and vacations and had this social life that any woman who like to party and be the hostess and acted like she was a queen of some kind. Kathy thought well mother if you really didn't want me then why didn't you let me live the Johansburgs. Then she realized that her mother and her side kept her from them for very selfish reason. She remembered them one time when she brought it up laughed and said divorce games and we don't like them. She now understood what kind of games they played. It was like stabbing them in the back everytime Kathy had a birthday or every school year where grandparents was allowed to participate with their grandchild in an activity or something. She understood now it was just plain meaness on their part.and thought they were so much better when in reality their BM stunk just as much as the Johansburgs. Kathy being in Community college now wondered what illness had taken her father's life
