Linsey inform the men that every evening she had to go up to the tower and get the light on or there could be a major accident with a ship and her grandfather told the men if it wasn't on that would be a red flag and one of the men was in the coast guard and knew every lighthouse had an emergency beacon and told Linsey if she turned it on that her grandfather would be dead when she got back down from the tower.

Another one made the comment that he had thought all lighthouses had been updated to electric and her grandfather said even though his had been updated someone had to make sure the windows are clean and bulbs are replaced.
