Part 8

A short way further down the tunnel, they came across another room, this time to their right. It seemed like a sort of office or study room. Many contraptions were placed at various levels and books and papers were lying all over the place. On a closer examination, they found it to be the magician’s books. Although calling him a scientist would be most appropriate. The papers had drawings of device that could be used for day to day activities like farming, plumbing and what not. It was amazing to see how someone from more than a thousand years ago had such visions. The drawings could easily be predecessor for much modern day machinery.

She understood now how deep the magician would have felt his sorrow when the very people whom he was trying to help were responsible for his only daughter. There were blueprints to develop the whole village into a self-sufficient place. She stood there mesmerized by the brain behind all this.
