Part 3

Everyone in town even at the mother's church seemed to think that the girl had just taken off. Her mother still lived in the town dispute several previous attempts from the city to evict her. First it was the flood that never managed to get into her house then for not paying taxes but then somehow she managed to scrap enough money together to pay them. Another attempt was when they turned off her water stating that she hadn't paid her bill but she had receipts and got her bank to pull the checks that showed where she had paid her water bill and was never a day late.

‚Äč She even started to copy her checks written to all of her bills just so if they try to pull anything else with the help from a utility company that she could show the authorities..She was becoming a recluse in her own home and not one neighbor would even wave at her as she drove through town or if they were walking down in front of her house. The detectives had no new leads so they sat the file in the impossible to solve case wire bin and preceded to solve more unsolve cases. For Mac everytime he walked by that case there was a tug that he felt in his heart. He would open it and looked at that beautiful young woman's face and hear her mother's words.
