By the holidays they had solved all of the fifty cold case files in their possession and thought their jobs was about to end when the sheriff gave Mac a key to a little room that was piled full of boxes and envelopes of cold cases so mac gave them the week off and was told to return to work on January the second. When they timed in on January the second there were boxes labeled missing or murder in the right offices. By then Mac had found a partner for Kim so she could go back on the street. One missing case of a small town girl who just up and left who the local police labeled a runaway but her mother claimed she wouldn't have just ran away and had no reason to that she knew of.
