"Wait, are you going to see him again?"

"One O'clock."

"Oh, no. I don't have any business clothes here."

Now, I grab her arms. "You are not meeting him today!"

"Why not?"

"Leslie, I have just barely met him. You are not going to be fawning all over him."

"I won't fawn."

"NO-NO-NO." I slam the bathroom door and turn on the shower. Silence, at last.

A deep breath helps me brace for the onslaught back in the room. Nothing. Leslie is reading. "We okay, Les?"

"Yep, you're right; you should get to know him better. I'll meet him someday."

I look over at Allie who winks at me as I mouth, "Thank you." She has every right to be mad that I'm foregoing her bachelorette party for a guy, but she won't be. She is thrilled that I met someone and knows he must be pretty special for me to even consider blowing off the GALs. We put in our breakfast order and I lie down with my eyes closed. The afterglow of last night still lingers.

I head down to the lobby at ten of one, feeling both excited and nervous. There he is, looking yummier than a body has a right to, in a V-neck T-shirt, jeans and sneakers. He stands when he sees me and saunters toward me. We kiss hello and his welcoming smile makes me weak in the knees. He cups my face with both hands. "Are you ready to be wowed?"
