Opening the door to our room, I wonder if I have the energy to relate my night to Allie and Les. They won't be worried; they'll assume I was riding a streak, which isn't far from the truth. Allie is perusing the room service menu and Les is coming out of the bathroom with rollers the size of soup cans on her head to tame her unyielding ginger-colored curls. How she manages to sleep in those things is a mystery to me. I try to duck into the shower, but Les takes one look at me and says, "Oh my God, you got laid." The woman missed her calling, should have gone into forensics. They are both practically on top of me.

"Can I please take a shower first?"

"No way, spill it you slut."

I grab an orange juice from the mini bar and plop on the bed. The two of them are like kids waiting for Santa. I take a big gulp of juice to stall. "I have spent the night with the most amazing, sexy, gorgeous, intelligent, classy, exasperating man."

"Holy shit. That is a sentence I'd never expect from you. No negatives?"

"Nope."

"C'mon, he must have too much hair on his chest or not enough on his head, something you can pick apart?"

"Nope."

"What's exasperating?"

My sigh is louder and dreamier than intended. "He keeps getting into my head, making me tell him things I'm not sure I want him to know."
